Ingredients
- 6 eggs (M)
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream
- salt and pepper to taste
- 200 g Gouda cheesed, grated
- 2 tsp. clarified butter (ghee)
- 1 red onion
- ½ yellow bell pepper or color of your choice
- 75 g of cottage ham, diced
- some fresh parsley and bell pepper as garnish
- 6 eggs (M)
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream
- salt and pepper to taste
- 7.1 oz Gouda cheesed, grated
- 2 tsp. clarified butter (ghee)
- 1 red onion
- ½ yellow bell pepper or color of your choice
- 2.6 oz of cottage ham, diced
- some fresh parsley and bell pepper as garnish
Directions
1.Beat the eggs and cream together in a mixing bowl until firm, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix half of the grated gouda with the scrambled eggs. If you bought the cheese in a block, just grate it beforehand.
Wash and core the bell pepper, then peel the onion. Now finely chop the vegetables and fry both together with the diced cottage ham. Add and spread the ghee, then pour the egg-cheese mix into the pan. Wait a moment until the omelet is almost completely firm. But be careful not to burn the edges of the omelette.
At the end, reduce the heat and add the remaining cheese evenly on top of the omelette.
Tip: Use a suitable lid and cook the omelette briefly covered, then the heat accumulates and the cheese melts faster. Serve the Low-Carb Western Omelette warm.
