Ingredients
- clarified butter (ghee)
- 1 Spanish onion
- 2 l vegetable or meat stock
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp. thyme
- 1 rutabaga
- about 300 g of celery
- 1 rod of leek
- 4 carrots
- 500 g smoked pork chop
- pepper to taste
- clarified butter (ghee)
- 1 Spanish onion
- 4.2 pt vegetable or meat stock
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp. thyme
- 1 rutabaga
- about 10.6 oz of celery
- 1 rod of leek
- 4 carrots
- 17.6 oz smoked pork chop
- pepper to taste
Directions
1.Prepare a large pot and dice the onion. Fry the diced onion in the pot with some ghee until glassy and lightly browned.
Now add the stock and season with the bay leaves and the thyme.
Peel the rutabaga and celery and cut both into cubes. Clean the leek and cut it into pieces. Thoroughly wash the leek pieces to remove any sand or soil. The carrots are also cleaned and sliced. Put all the vegetables in the pot.
Now add the smoked pork chop as a whole piece to the stew.
Cook the stew with the pork for about 30 minutes, remove the pork, cut it into cubes and put the cubes back into the stew.
In the end, season everything with pepper to your taste. Additional salt isn't needed as the smoked pork chop is already salty enough. Enjoy!
