Ingredients
For the wraps:
- 1 globe of mozzarella (125 g)
- milk (amount depending on the size of your pot)
For the stuffing:
- 15 g lamb’s lettuce
- 30 g bell pepper
- 10 g red onion
- 30 g turkey
- 20 g carrots
- 30 g Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp. mixed herbs
- salt & pepper to taste
For the wraps:
- 1 globe of mozzarella (4.4 oz)
- milk (amount depending on the size of your pot)
For the stuffing:
- 0.5 oz lamp’s lettuce
- 1 oz bell pepper
- 0.3 oz red onion
- 1 oz turkey
- 0.7 oz carrots
- 1 oz Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp. mixed herbs
- salt & pepper to taste
Directions
1.The dough for your wrap consists only of mozzarella. To get the mozzarella flat, the ball just needs to be heated. Put a pot of milk on the stove and submerge the mozzarella globe in it. Alternatively, you can use water for heating.
Heat the mozzarella for about 10 minutes until soft. Attention: Do not boil the milk! A temperature of about 40 degrees should be sufficient. Stay close and check the consistency of the mozzarella in between. Please do not trash the milk afterwards. The milk can be use again! You can either use the milk for other recipes, or just drink it. For example, pure as warm milk or cocoa.
When the mozzarella is soft, remove it from the milk and place it between two sheets of parchment paper. Press the mozzarella with your hand as flat as possible. Now you also notice quite well, if the mozzarella is really soft.
Tip: If the mozzarella is still too firm at this point just put it back into the warm milk.
Now use a rolling pin to flatten the mozzarella even further. However, do not make the cheese too thin, so it does not tear when rolled up. Carefully peel off the upper parchment paper and allow the flattened mozzarella to cool.
While the mozzarella is cooling, you can prepare everything for the filling, so cut vegetables, roast meat, stir sauce - whatever you like 🙂 For example, we fried some turkey breast and cut it into fine strips. As vegetables we used red pepper and carrot - also cut into fine strips. A few red onion rings for a little bit of spice and some lamb's lettuce. Your mozzarella wrap will be nicely colorful.
Some tablespoons of Greek yoghurt mixed with a herbs resulted in a refreshing dressing. A little bit of salt and pepper to taste - and the Mozzarella Wrap was complete.
Carefully roll the beautifully colored stuffing into the mozzarella. You can cut the wrap in two. For a better stability wrap the two halves in a piece of parchment paper.
