  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. starch-free baking powder
  • 150 g quark 40% fat
  • 2 eggs (size M)

The hamburger topping:

  • 200 g ground beef
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 slice cheese of your choice
  • 6 slices of pickles
  • 2 leaves of iceberg lettuce
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/4 onion

The hamburger bun:

  • 2.5 oz almonds ground
  • 0.5 oz psyllium husk
  • 1.1 oz sunflower seeds
  • 0.7 oz Chia seeds
  • 0.4 oz sesame
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. starch-free baking powder
  • 5.3 oz quark 40% fat
  • 2 eggs (size M)

The hamburger topping:

  • 7.1 oz ground beef
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 slice cheese of your choice
  • 6 slices of pickles
  • 2 leaves of iceberg lettuce
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/4 onion

Directions

1.

Preheat oven to 170°C / 340°F (circulating air) or 190°C / 375°F (top / bottom heat).

Mix the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl: ground almonds, psyllium husks, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, sesame seeds, salt and starch-free baking soda.

2.

Mix the quark with the eggs and stir the previously mixed dry ingredients under the quark-egg mixture.

Allow the dough to rest for at least 10 minutes.

3.

Divide the dough into two pieces of the same size and make buns. Bake the hamburger buns for about 35 minutes.

4.

While the buns are baking, season the ground beef with pepper and salt and make two hamburger patties from the meat. Put the patties in a pan and fry from both sides.

5.

Remove the hamburger buns from the oven and allow to cool.

6.

Wash and slice the tomato, peel the onion and cut into fine rings. Wrap the rest of the onion in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator until needed.

7.

Wash two lettuce leaves and drain. Slice the hamburger rolls lengthwise and fill with lettuce, fried patties, cheese, slices of tomato, onion rings and pickle slices. You can also use, for example, homemade ketchup or another delicious low-carb sauce.
