  • 500 g turnip
  • clarified butter (ghee)

  • 1 onion
  • salt & pepper

Cut the turnip into cubes. Since a turnip usually weighs more than 500 g / 17.6 oz, you’ll probably have some leftovers. These can be used for a delicious stew or simply freeze.


Stir fry the diced turnip with clarified butter (ghee) in a pan.


Move the cubes aside and add the ham and diced onions as soon as the turnip cubes are browned.


Mix the ham cubes and onion pieces with the turnip dices and stir fry everything.


Salt and pepper the faux fried potatoes to taste and spread the seasons through stirring. Crack the egg or the desired amount of eggs into the pan and fry everything until the eggs are done.

By the way: You do not have to eat the fried potatoes with fried eggs, of course, but you can prepare these low-carb fried potatoes as a side dish to your favorite recipes, or eat them without a side dish.


Fine-tune the faux fried potatoes with some pepper to taste and herbs of your choice - finished! Enjoy.
