Low-Carb Tips

  • 2 apples
  • 250 g quark
  • 4 eggs
  • 150 g ground almonds
  • 50 g birch sugar (xylitol)
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • pulp of a vanilla pod
  • juice of 1/2 a lemon

  • 4 eggs
  • 5.3 oz ground almonds
  • 1.8 oz birch sugar (xylitol)
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • pulp of a vanilla pod
  • juice of 1/2 a lemon



Preheat oven to 160°C / 320°F (circulating air) or 180°C / 355°F (top / bottom heat).


Core and cut the apples into pieces.


Set aside the apples and prepare the dough. Mix the quark with the whipped eggs in a bowl. Add lemon juice and stir the dough.


Add the almonds, the birch sugar and the pulp of a vanilla pod to the quark-egg mix. Use a hand blender until the dough is even.


Line a baking tray with parchment paper and pour the dough evenly on top, then smooth with a spoon.


Place the apple pieces on the dough and bake for 25 minutes.


Cut the finished Low-Carb Apple Pie into serving size and enjoy!
